Cardiac Electrophysiology

Sports Cardiology

We offer pre-participation screening ECG for athletes as recommended by the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), using the latest diagnostic system for accurate recording and analysis .  Expert interpretation will also ensure that false abnormalities are minimized.  As a result, less athletes will be unnecessarily side-lined, and the number of costly additional tests that are inevitable when less experienced health providers perform the ECG will be reduced.

Arrhythmia (Cardiac Electrophysiology)

We treat both slow heart rhythm disorders with pacemakers and fast or irregular arrhythmias with cardiac ablation or defibrillators.

Arrhythmias or conditions that we treat include:

Atrial Fibrillation and atrial flutter

Supraventricular tachycardia

Wolff-Parkinson-White

Premature ventricular contractions

Ventricular tachycardia

Syncope

Left bundle pacemaker

Pacemaker and pacemaker upgrades

Implantable loop recorder

Cardiac resynchronization therapy

Implantable cardioverter defibrillator

Cardiac ablation

Cardiac Electrophysiology

Heart rhythm disorders can lead to diminished quality of life, significant morbidity and reduced longevity.

Pacemakers are implanted in the heart when the heart beats too slow.  Defibrillators are required in conditions that may be complicated by cardiac arrest.  Cardiac ablation is a catheter-based procedure that treats focal areas of the heart causing abnormal heart rhythms due to short circuits or electrical irritability of the heart’s normal beat.  We would love the opportunity to evaluate and address your concerns during a consultation.
